an endless sheet
There is no last bubble and no finish line.
Just one sheet, made to feel good under a thumb.

one thing, properly
No scores. No rankings. Nothing to clear.
POP88 cares about exactly one thing: how it feels to pop a bubble. You will not get better at it, and you cannot lose.
two ways to go about it
01
A bubble gives when you press firmly into it. Take them one at a time, with a little room to linger. Probably not for days when you are in a hurry.
02
The first bubble still needs a firm press. From the moment it goes until you lift your finger, everything you trace bursts in a row. Apart from that one push to get started, it suits the days when you would rather not think.
Pop as much as you like and it keeps going the other way. Nobody has reached the last bubble. Stop wherever you are and come back whenever you feel like it.
Your count and the times you popped stay on your device and are sent nowhere. There is no account, so there is nobody to be overtaken by.
Every now and then, a heart-shaped bubble appears and pops with a slightly lighter sound.
POP88 Pro
POP88 Pro removes ads and unlocks faster scrolling and the popping attendant, which keeps popping while the app is open. It is a one-time purchase with nothing recurring.
Heart-shaped bubbles are available as a separate add-on after POP88 Pro.
the popping attendant
With POP88 Pro, you can hand the sheet to an attendant. They keep working while the app is open, and their work is counted separately from yours.
Finishes a row, turns, and starts the next. Nothing much is left behind.
Favors the bubbles furthest away. The sheet clears in patches.
Pops a few, pauses, then resumes as though nothing happened.
They work in Real mode. Touch the sheet yourself and they can either step aside, or clock out for the day.
the timekeeping one
One attendant does not tidy the sheet at all. They write the current time in bubbles, then begin again beside it.
Made for tablets on stands and shop displays. Each reading takes a little over forty bubbles: a suitably extravagant way to tell the time.

why POP88?
POP is the sound a bubble makes on the way out. An 8 on its side is ∞, because the sheet never runs out. Two 8s make four round openings: bubbles in a row. It is said “Pop Eighty-Eight”, and it is not a quantity of anything.
